What Should I Bring / Wear?

Baggy clothing makes it difficult for your instructor to see if your are working properly. Pilates is always practiced shoeless, but socks are optional.

How Often Should I Take Pilates?

This answer is different for everyone. Most people see the best results from taking Pilates 2 to 3 times a week.  Your instructor will help you determine the right formula (privates, duets, and/or classes) to help you reach your goals. Consistency is the key!

The best way to start Pilates is with private instruction to familiarize yourself with the Pilates system and equipment. Private lessons help you receive a better understanding of what Pilates is all about and how to make it work for your body. Privates are a great way to start taking Pilates because the entire Pilates system is utilized during these workouts.

Another way to start taking Pilates is with our small group mat classes. If you like being in a group, then starting with mat classes is another more affordable option. Mat classes are a wonderful way to compliment your private lessons. You must be injury free to start with mat classes.

Will Pilates Help Me Lose Weight?

There is no quick fix, but with an open mind, dedication, and consistent workouts, you will see and feel the changes Pilates can bring.

Will Pilates Help Me Recover From an Injury?
